Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act is an escape room puzzle game, part of the series of Adventure Escape Mysteries from Haiku Games featuring Detective Kate Gray.
In Chapter 4 we met with Allie in the old cabin to find out what she has been getting up to. But now she has been taken away by Charlie and Elias to do a final job. You need to help her. In Chapter 5 Murphy comes to help as you head to the yacht to try to stop them.
Chapter 5 Walkthrough
You begin at the Yacht. You can only get on with tickets so you need to find some, meanwhile Murphy heads of to see what Charlie is up to.
Tap on the couple on the left to learn that they have tickets and the Man does not like the heat.
Then head to the left to the Club.
Star: on the lighthouse picture on the wall by the door.
Collect the Harpoon from the wall. Then head back to the Marina.
Use the harpoon on the broken plank in the walkway. You can then collect the Plank.
Star: found in the hole beneath the plank.
Use the plank on the boat on the right and you can collect the Propane Tank.
Behind the man in the chair is a heater. Tap this to open the bottom and then you can place the propane tank inside. You now need to light it.
Return to the Club and talk to the waiter who is now there. You need to help him deliver some food.
Waiter Puzzle
- There are 4 types of appetizer to deliver.
- View the notepad to see the list of customers and what they have ordered.
- Each place has a symbol on it, you need to work out which symbol relates to each customer and place the items it on.
- Next to the waiter is a display case with 4 model boats in it, this will help you solve it.
Solution:
Head back to the Marina and talk to the waiter to get the Lit Cigarette.
Then use this on the heater to light it, the man will remove his jacket. Then leave.
Collect the Locked Phone from the jacket and also the Telescope.
Go back into the club and place the telescope on the stand through the doors on the left.
Unlock the Phone
Look at the locked phone. You will see a photo of a Buoy and the mans name. Maxwell Parales.
Look for the name Perales in the model boats again to see the associated symbol.
Now look through the telescope to see a buoy with colored ropes.
Look around with the telescope to find the one that matches the Perales symbol. Then follow the path of the ropes of the same color (green).
Now use this clue to unlock the phone.

You now have the Yacht Ticket
Go back to the marina and show the ticket at the reception. You wait for Murphy but he does not arrive and the Ship leaves.
Go back in the club to find Murphy and then you head to a pier to find Charlie.
After Charlies leaves tap on the boat to look inside.
Star: on the green island on the right.
Look in the duffel bag on the right to see money and a file folder.
Open the file to find information and clues. You can move the clippings on the right around to see others below.
Then look at the case on the left of the boat, you need a 5 digit code to open this. To find the code examine the clippings in the folder.
Solution: Each of the clippings will match up to one of the ID's on the left. Charlie is the Missing Murphy ID and Elias is Sanford Roy. Then get the highlighted numbers from each clipping.Show

After Charlie is dealt with check the phone that he has dropped.
Collect the Crowbar from the deck and then also the Pocket Square from Charlie.
Then try to start the boat, it is out of fuel.
Exit to the beach and then you can use the crowbar to open the door to the Boat House notice the flags hanging outside. .
Then go inside, the fuel canister is locked in a cage on the left. There are more flags at the top.
Open the cage
- View the picture on the back wall to the right of the door.
- Use the pocket square to clean it. This shows a list of flags and Alphanumeric translations.
- Using the 2 sets of flags work out a letter for each in the order.

Use this to open the padlock and collect the Gasoline Canister
Now head back outside and use the canister on the motor at the back.
Then enter the boat and tap the controls to start it. Charlie will attack you.
Grab the knife from the deck and use it on the Rope on the left. Then use the Rope on Charlie
The boat console is broken. Examine this.
You need to find 3 replacement chips.
Go back to the boat house, then move the stool to the right so that you can reach the hanging net. Then use the knife on the net to cut it down.
Collect the Oar and then open the cabinet to collect a screwdriver from the toolbox.
Now tap on the TV and use the screwdriver on the back to open it. Collect a Chip.
Go out to the beach and dig up the buried radio. Then use the screwdriver on this as well to open it and get another Chip.
Next use the oar on the canoe to place it in the water. Then tap it to travel to the Buoy and collect a third Chip.
Return to the boat and tap the console to start the chip puzzle.
Chip Puzzle
- Place the 3 chips to start.
- Move all of the 12 chips on to the circuit board.
- Each chip has arrows that must line up and point towards another arrow.
- Not all of the lines need to turn green.
